1. Open the Clickfree App

Locate the Clickfree app on your phone or tablet and tap to open it.

Make sure your Clickfree drive is connected to your device.
2. Access the Settings Menu

On the Home screen of the app, look in the top-left corner.

Tap the three horizontal lines (also called the "hamburger menu") to open Clickfree Settings menu.
3. Go to the Format Option

Then, tap on Format
4. Review Storage Information

On the Format screen, you’ll see how much storage is currently used on your Clickfree drive, and how much is available (e.g., "Used: 10 GB / Available: 54 GB").
5. Select the Drive to Format

To the right of this information, you’ll see a small empty circle.

Tap the circle. It should now show filled in blue with a check mark, which means the drive is selected for formatting.
6. Enable the Format Button

Once the drive is selected, the Format button at the bottom of the screen will turn blue.
This means it's now active and ready to be tapped.
7. Tap the Format Button

Tap the blue Format button to begin.
Read the Warning Message Carefully
A message will appear that says:
"Warning – This will re-format the external device to FAT32. You will lose any data currently stored on the external device. Are you sure you want to do this?"
- If you’re sure you want to continue, tap OK.
8. Rename Your Clickfree Drive

You will now be asked to give your drive a name again.

Type in CLICKFREE — make sure to use all capital letters.

Then tap OK

9. Wait for Formatting to Complete
-
The app will now format your Clickfree drive. This may take a few moments.

When it's finished, you’ll be taken back to the Format screen.
10. Check That It’s Done

After formatting, the “Used” storage should now show 0 GB, meaning the drive is empty and ready to use again.
