Want to remove your saved contacts backup from your Clickfree device? This simple step-by-step guide will show you how to locate and delete the VCF (VCard) file using the Clickfree app on your iPhone or iPad, so you can manage your backups easily and free up space.
When you back up your contacts using the Clickfree app on your iPhone or iPad, they’re saved as a VCF (VCard) file on your Clickfree drive.
If you want to delete that contacts backup, just follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Plug in your Clickfree device
Connect your Clickfree drive to your iPhone or iPad.
If you’re using a Lightning-to-USB adapter, plug it in.
When prompted, tap “Allow” to give permission.
Wait a few moments while the app loads your backup content.
Step 2: Open Backup Storage
In the Clickfree app, tap View Backup Storage on the main screen.
Step 3: Find the Contacts Backup Folder
Tap through the folders in this order:
Backup Folder
Phone Backup
Contacts Backup
Inside, you’ll see the VCF file — usually named something like contacts.vcf
.
Step 4: Delete the VCF File
Long press (press and hold) on the
contacts.vcf
file for about 1–2 seconds.A small white circle will appear in the corner.
Tap the circle — it will turn into a blue checkmark to show it’s selected.
Tap the Delete button at the bottom of the screen.
When asked to confirm, tap OK.
💡 Tips
Be sure you really want to delete the contacts backup — once it’s gone, you’ll need to run a new backup to recover it.
If you only want to remove certain contacts from your iPhone, this process won’t affect your phone contacts — only the backup stored on the Clickfree drive.
