For Phone/Tablet
1. USB Status Icon
In the top right corner of the Clickfree Home Screen, you’ll see a small USB icon:
-
A green USB icon means your Clickfree device is successfully connected.
-
A red USB icon means your device is not connected. Make sure the device is securely plugged in.
2. Menu Options
The menu on the Home Screen also changes depending on the connection status:
-
If you only see “View Backup Storage” as the single menu option, this means Clickfree is not connected to your device.
-
If you see the full menu (including options like “Photos and Videos",” “Scan Photos,” "Contacts," View Backup Storage," & "Camera Roll" ), this means Clickfree is properly connected and ready to use.
If your device isn’t connecting, try unplugging it and plugging it back in. You can also completely close the Clickfree app and reopen it while your Clickfree device remains plugged in.
For PC & MAC:
On a Windows PC:
Open File Explorer and look at the left-hand menu. You should see a drive listed under “This PC” titled “CLICKFREE.” This indicates that your device is properly connected and recognized by your computer.
On a Mac:
When you connect Clickfree, a drive should appear on your desktop. It will typically be titled “Clickfree.”
In some cases, it may appear as “UNTITLED.” If that happens, you can rename the drive to “Clickfree” for easier recognition in the future. To rename, simply right-click (or Control-click) the drive icon, select "Rename," and type in Clickfree.
If you don’t see the drive appear:
-
Make sure the Clickfree device is fully plugged into your USB port.
-
Try using a different USB port.
-
Safely eject and reconnect the device.
