How Do I Connect My ClickFree Device?

Connecting ClickFree to a Phone or Tablet

Step 1: Plug in the ClickFree Drive

• Insert the ClickFree device into your phone or tablet’s charging port.

• Use the correct connector:

  • iPhone/iPad: Use the Lightning connector or USB-C (newer IOS devices) 

  • Android (most devices): Use the USB-C connector.

  • Some older Android models may require a Micro USB

Tip: If you’re unsure which end to use, check your phone’s charging port and match it with the ClickFree’s adapter.

Step 2: Wait for the Pop-Up Prompt

• After plugging in, your phone or tablet should recognize the ClickFree device.

• A pop-up will appear asking if the ClickFree app can access your photos, media, and files.

Step 3: Grant Permissions

• Tap “Allow” or “OK” when prompted.

• This permission is necessary so the app can find and back up your photos, videos, and files from your device.

❗ If you don’t allow access, the app won’t be able to scan or back up your content.

Step 4: Launch or Open the App

• Once permission is granted:

  • The ClickFree app may launch automatically.

  • If not, open the ClickFree app manually from your home screen.

• You’ll now see the home screen, where you can:

  • Start a backup

  • View saved files

  • Use AI photo tools (if supported)
