The red LED light strip on the back of the BoneSoundz Aware headset is a built-in safety feature, designed to increase visibility during night walks, runs, or cycling. By default, it turns on automatically and blinks when the headset is in use — but you can change the lighting mode or turn it off completely with just a few button presses.
How to Change the Light Mode:
You can cycle through different light modes by quickly pressing the power button four times in a row.
Here’s how:
- Locate the Power Button:
- It’s the main button on the top of the right earpiece.
- It’s the same button you use to turn the headset on/off or pause/play music.
- Press the Button Four Times Quickly:
- Make sure the clicks are fast and consistent — you want to press it 4 times in a row without pausing.
- If it doesn’t work the first time, try again a bit faster.
- The lighting will cycle through the following modes in this order:
Always On (solid red light)
Fast Blinking
Slow Blinking (also called “breathing” mode)
Off
- 🔁 (Then it repeats the cycle)
Each time you do a 4-click sequence, it moves to the next mode in the cycle.
Other Helpful Info:
- Once a mode is selected, the light will stay in that mode until:
- You change it again using the 4-clicks, or
- You turn off the headphones
- When the headphones are powered off, the LED light automatically turns off
- Many users prefer to turn the light off during the daytime to conserve battery life, and turn it back on at night for visibility
If you're having trouble getting the light to respond:
- Double-check that you’re pressing the correct button (top of the right earpiece)
- Try the 4 quick presses again, making sure they’re fast and evenly spaced
