BoneSoundz Aware headphones include 32GB of internal memory, which means you can load music or podcasts directly onto the headset and listen without needing your phone. This is especially helpful when swimming, exercising, or going out phone-free.
What You’ll Need:
- Your BoneSoundz Aware headset
- The magnetic charging USB cable that came in the box
- A computer (Windows or Mac) with a USB port
- Audio files (MP3, WAV, WMA, FLAC, or APE formats)
Step 1: Connect the Headphones to Your Computer
- Plug the USB end of the charging cable into your computer.
- Snap the magnetic end of the cable onto the metal charging pins on your BoneSoundz headset.
- After a moment, your computer will detect the headset and a new USB drive will appear, named something like “BoneSoundz” (just like a flash drive).
Tip: If nothing shows up, make sure the cable is securely connected, and try using a different USB port on your computer.
Step 2: Add Your Music Files
- Double-click to open the BoneSoundz USB drive.
- Look for a folder called "Music" — or you can create your own folders to organize by artist, album, or playlist.
- Find the songs or podcasts on your computer, then drag and drop them into the Music folder on the headset.
- Supported file types include:
- .mp3
- .wav
- .wma
- .flac
- .ape
- Supported file types include:
- Once the files have finished copying, safely eject the drive from your computer before unplugging the cable.
- On Windows: Right-click the drive and choose “Eject”
- On Mac: Drag the drive icon to the trash or click the eject symbol
Step 3: Switch to Memory Mode to Play Music
By default, the headset turns on in Bluetooth Mode, ready to connect to your phone or tablet. To switch to playing your stored music:
- Turn on the headset (press and hold the power button).
- Double-click the multi-function button (the same button used to play/pause music or answer calls).
- You’ll hear a voice prompt or tone indicating it has switched to internal music playback (Memory Mode).
- Your music will begin to play from the stored files.
Step 4: Control Your Playback
While in Memory Mode:
- Play or Pause: Press the multi-function button once
- Skip to Next Song: Long-press the "+" button
- Go Back to Previous Song: Long-press the "–" button
- Shuffle Mode: Triple-click the multi-function button to turn shuffle ON or OFF
Your shuffle setting will be remembered even after turning the headphones off.
Switching Between Bluetooth and Memory Mode
- Your BoneSoundz Aware automatically starts in Bluetooth Mode each time you turn it on.
- If you want to play stored music after powering it on, you’ll need to double-click the multi-function button again to enter Memory Mode.
- To go back to Bluetooth Mode (stream from your phone again), just double-click the same button once more.
Extra Tips
- The blue LED light will keep blinking during Memory Mode — this is normal. Bluetooth stays on in the background but isn’t connected.
- You don’t need any special app or software — just copy your music files like a regular USB drive.
- If you're swimming or working out, you can leave your phone behind and still enjoy hours of music or podcasts directly from the headset.
