If your Android phone or tablet isn’t detecting your Clickfree device, it’s often due to missing app permissions or minor connection issues. This step-by-step troubleshooting guide will help you check permissions, adjust settings, and resolve common Android connection problems so you can back up smoothly.
Why Permissions Matter
The Clickfree app needs certain permissions to back up your content — like accessing your photos, videos, contacts, and camera. Without these, the app won’t work correctly.
Step 1 — Check and Enable Permissions
Unplug the Clickfree device from your phone.
Close the Clickfree app completely (swipe it away from recent apps).
Open your phone’s Settings.
Go to Apps or App Management.
Find and tap Clickfree.
Tap Permissions.

Make sure these permissions are turned ON:
Camera
Photos & Videos (may show as Files & Media)
Contacts
Once all are allowed, return to your Home Screen.
Step 2 — Restart Your Phone
Restarting refreshes your device and clears any temporary issues.
Step 3 — Reinstall the Clickfree App (If Needed)
Only do this if it’s still not detecting after Step 2.
Uninstall the Clickfree app.
Restart your phone.
