If you've finished backing up your photos or videos to your Clickfree device, but you're not sure how to open or find them on your computer — you're not alone! Here's a simple, step-by-step guide to help you safely access and view your files on a Windows PC.
Step 1: Safely Eject Clickfree From Your Phone (If Applicable)
Before plugging the Clickfree into your computer, always safely eject it from your phone to avoid file corruption.
Step 2: Plug Clickfree Into Your Computer
Insert your Clickfree device into an available USB port on your Windows computer.
You should hear a chime and possibly see a light turn on (if your device has one).
Wait a few seconds for the computer to detect the drive.
Step 3: Open File Explorer
Press Windows key + E on your keyboard
or click the yellow File Explorer folder icon from your taskbar.On the left-hand sidebar, click on This PC.
Under “Devices and drives,” you should see a new drive appear — it might be labeled:
ClickfreeUSB Driveor a letter like
E:,F:, orG:
🟢 If you see the drive: Double-click it to open and view the files.
🔴 If you don’t see it: Try unplugging and reconnecting the device. Use a different USB port if needed.
tep 4: Navigate to Your Files
Inside the Clickfree drive, you’ll see a folder structure similar to this:

├── AI_Edited
Camera Roll – contains photos from your phone’s camera
Videos – videos you recorded or saved
Contacts – a backup file for your address book
AI_Edited – photos enhanced by the AI tool inside the app
Originals – untouched versions of your original photos
📝 Tip: The AI-edited and original versions are stored separately so you can choose which version to keep or use.
Step 5: Open Photos or Videos
To open a photo or video:
Double-click the file.
It should open in your computer’s default viewer (Photos app, VLC, Windows Media Player, etc.)
Step 6: Change Default App to View Photos (Optional)
If your photos open in an app you don’t like (e.g. a third-party viewer or AI previewer), you can change the default:
Right-click on any photo (e.g., a
.jpgor.pngfile).Click Open with > then Choose another app.
Select Photos or Windows Photo Viewer.
Check the box that says Always use this app to open .jpg files.
Click OK.
Repeat this process for other file types like .mp4, .png, or .mov if needed.
