It’s the easiest way to get started — no codes, no passwords to remember.

 Why This Feature Exists

The new Apple and Google login buttons were added to:

• Make signup and login faster — no need to create a new password

• Avoid issues with verification codes not being received

• Improve security using Face ID, Touch ID, or Google authentication

• Automatically link accounts if the email already exists in our system

 How Third-Party Login Works

Clickfree now supports Apple Sign-In and Google Sign-In with smart account detection:

 If You Already Have a Clickfree Account (Email Registered)

• When you tap the Apple or Google login button:

  • The app will check the email tied to that Apple or Google account.

  • If it matches an existing Clickfree email account:

    • Your login will automatically link to the same account.

    • You can continue logging in either with your email/password or through Apple/Google.

🔄 This prevents account duplication and keeps your backups in one place.

 If You Are a New User (No Clickfree Account Yet)

Tapping the Apple or Google button will automatically create a new Clickfree account using that email — with some important behavior:

 Google Login

• If your Google email is valid and not yet registered:

  • A new Clickfree account is created.

  • A default password is randomly generated and emailed to you (check your inbox).

  • You can later update your password in the Profile section if needed.

 Apple Login

There are two possible outcomes based on your email settings:

1. You Choose to Hide Your Email (Private Relay)

   • A hidden Apple email (like [e-mail]) will be used.

   • A pop-up will notify you of your default password, which you should save or change right away from your profile screen.

2. You Use Your Real Apple Email

   • The app creates a Clickfree account with that email.

   • A default password is automatically generated and emailed to you for record-keeping.

 How to Use the Apple or Google Buttons (Step-by-Step)

1. Open the Clickfree app and go to the main login screen.

2. Tap the Apple or Google icon at the bottom of the screen.

3. Authorize using Face ID, Touch ID, or your account credentials.

4. If it’s your first time, a new account will be created and you'll be signed in automatically.

5. If you already have an account under that email, it will log you into the correct profile.

 How to Check If Apple or Google Is Linked to Your Account

1. Open the Clickfree app and go to your Profile section.

2. You’ll see whether your Apple or Google account is currently bound (linked).

3. You can bind or unbind third-party login options from here as well.

 Notes & Tips

• You can still log in with your original email/password even after linking Apple or Google.

• If you're using Apple’s "Hide My Email," remember that your account email will look like a random address.
