When signing up for a Clickfree account, you may see two optional checkboxes. These are not required to create your account, but checking them changes how we can connect with you and how your data is used. Here’s what each one means:
1. Marketing Emails, SMS, and Notifications
What this means: You’ll receive updates from Clickfree about promotions, tips, product updates, and special offers.
Your control:
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in our emails or by adjusting your account settings.
Not checking this box won’t affect your ability to back up or use Clickfree—it just means you won’t receive marketing content.
2. Data Collection for Personalization and Analytics
What this means: We collect usage data to improve your Clickfree experience. This may include:
Personalized recommendations inside the app
Analytics to see which features are most useful
Limited sharing with trusted third-party partners (for performance tracking or analytics)
Your control:
This box is optional—you can still use Clickfree without checking it.
If unchecked, you won’t get personalized suggestions, but backups and storage work exactly the same.
Do I Have to Check Them?
No. Both boxes are completely optional.
You can create and use your account without them.
If you change your mind later, update your preferences in your account settings.
✅ Tip: Leave both boxes unchecked for the simplest setup.
💡 Check them if you’d like personalized tips, updates, and special promotions.
