If you're trying to sign up or log in to Clickfree but aren’t receiving the verification code, your email provider may have blocked or bounced the message. This guide explains what that means — and how to fix it.
A bounce means your provider refused to even let the message through. A block means they filtered it out or suppressed it entirely.
Common Reasons Emails Bounce or Get Blocked
When Clickfree sends out your verification code, we rely on your email provider to accept and deliver that message. But sometimes, the provider stops it before it even reaches you — this is called a bounce or a block. Below are the most common reasons this happens:
Typos in the Email Address
This is one of the most common reasons the email never arrives — and it’s surprisingly easy to overlook.
Even a single wrong letter, extra space, or misplaced dot can make your email undeliverable.
Common typo examples:
| Mistyped Email | Correct Version |
|---|---|
@gamil.com | @gmail.com |
@yaho.com | @yahoo.com |
@outlok.com | @outlook.com |
username@.com | username@gmail.com |
name@gmail.con | name@gmail.com |
Full Inbox (Mailbox is Full)
Most email providers set a storage limit for your inbox. If you haven’t cleared out old emails or attachments, new emails may bounce back automatically — even though your address is still active.
What to do:
Try deleting a few large emails or attachments, then re-request the verification code.
Old, Inactive, or Custom Email Domains
Some people use email addresses from:
Former jobs
Old internet providers
Custom domains they no longer manage
These domains may no longer exist or have unreliable mail servers. Even if the email looks valid, the server might reject all incoming messages or silently drop them.
Examples of high-risk domains:
@mybizemail.net(custom/hosted)@suddenlink.net(often retired or inactive)@randomcompanyname.org(old employer)
Strict or Outdated Spam Filters
Some email services (especially older or less common ones) use aggressive spam filtering, which can block:
Login alerts
Password reset links
Verification codes
These filters may:
Reject the message before it reaches your inbox
Silently delete it without even putting it in your Spam folder
Why this happens:
Our verification emails are automated and include a short numeric code — which can look like spam to a strict filter.
Email Providers That Commonly Block Clickfree Emails
Through our email delivery tracking system, we’ve noticed that some providers regularly reject or bounce our messages, especially verification codes. These include:
| Problem-Prone Providers |
|---|
@windstream.net |
@att.net |
@suddenlink.net |
@btinternet.com |
@aol.com (occasionally) |
With these providers:
Emails often never appear in Spam, Junk, or Promotions — they’re completely rejected at the server level
Even if your inbox looks fine, the provider may block it before it reaches you
Email Providers That Work Best
For the smoothest experience, we recommend using one of these providers:
| Best Email Providers for Clickfree |
|---|
@gmail.com |
@outlook.com |
@yahoo.com |
These platforms tend to accept our emails reliably — and they’re easy to set up if you don’t already have one.
What to Do if You Think Your Email Was Blocked
Step 1: Double-Check Your Email Address
Look closely for typos or formatting issues:
No extra spaces
No misspelled domain names
Correct use of
.com,.net, etc.
If you notice a mistake, go back to the Clickfree app and try again with the correct address.
Step 2: Try a Different Email (Gmail Recommended)
If your current provider didn’t work, try using a Gmail or Outlook address instead.
These work smoothly with our system and rarely bounce.
Step 3: Contact Our Support Team
If you're still not getting the email:
Reach out through the app or website
Tell us the email address you tried using
We’ll look into it on our end and let you know:
If it was delivered successfully
If it bounced or was rejected
If your address is on our suppression list (and what to do next)
Once the issue is confirmed, we can help clear it and guide you through trying again.
